Returning To Study

The idea of going to university - at any age - can be daunting. The application process, the course requirements, the chances of being accepted, how you will cope financially, and otherwise, can be very stressful...

But don't stress. You're not the first person to feel this way. About 75% of domestic students at CQUniversity (CQU) don't come directly from high school. They come to the University two, five, ten - even 20 and 30 years after high school as mature age or adult learners.

Why? Statistics show that we're changing jobs and careers much more often than we have before. People, who may have expected to have a single job or career for the majority of their working life, are now changing careers at least two or three times. They come to CQUniversity to acquire more knowledge, learn new skills and achieve their goals.

As a mature age student you may have family commitments and other personal circumstances that need to be considered and sometimes take priority over academic commitments.

Don't worry - there is plenty of support available at CQUniversity to help you balance your responsibilities with your study.

This website was designed to help you explore your university options, whether you want to take one or two courses or graduate with a full degree. You'll see that going to university may not feel so daunting after all.
